❝ odessa santos was born in marinette, wisconsin. she was the first and only child to jeremy, an american shipbuilder, and vanesa, a spanish doctor.
she had an average childhood, a normal amount of friends, a great relationship with her parents. however, this didn't last long; when she was 11, her mother died. after that, her father and her tried to make as normal a life as they could after moving to new york.
however, she still spent her summers on her grandparents' ranch. her father, who had been in the marines before meeting her mother, had shown her how to spar, how to shoot a gun…when she was well into her adolescence, odessa begged her father to tell her how her mother had died. her mother had usually worked on late shifts, and the day it happened, she had been walking alone at night. a patient of hers had been stalking her for some time, he was the one who killed her once his advances on her didn't work. the discovery of her mother's murder changed odessa's life, making her disdain for those types of men grow. however, she kept on living normally, finished high school and went into college, majoring in english language and literature.

new york wasn't kind to its inhabitants, so she had to get a job to help his father with the bills while studying. she managed to get a job as a server in a diner, close to where their apartment was.that's where she found her victims. they would try and follow her home, and she would get rid of them as soon as she reached a dark alley, leaving them there.
odessa's family had always been religious, and guilt, more often than not, clawed at her insides. she found herself attending masses or praying silently for forgiveness in her room at times. she managed to slowly let go of those habits once she got out of college, not being able to quit completely.now odessa lives alone, in a small apartment, with her two cats. always listening to music, taking photographs or immersed in a book when she's not working, or dealing with her victims; doing the city a favour.
